Hello, there!
The first quarter of this year has come and gone. Wow! I can still recall the first day of the year. Time does not want to wait for me. It won't wait for you too.
I know it's common tradition to start the new year with new goals and ambitions. You probably wrote them down and made it a point to double-check them every day. You can also be the type who stores everything in your brain. The point is, you came into this year with specific objectives in mind. It could be personal goals like gaining abs or losing weight.
My question is this,
How far along are you in carrying out the plans you made before the year began?
If you're anything like me, you probably didn't get to meet them all. I set a plan to read books this year, and I believe I stuck to it until February. I understand how easy it is to forget about your plans. I've been tempted to do the same.
But one thing keeps me going; I simply need to remind myself why I made the arrangements in the first place. This is my counsel to you when you are tempted to give up.
Kindly remember why you started.
Let's assume you made a plan to lose weight, when you want to give up, you remind yourself the health benefits of being physically fit or the way you want to look. This should honestly be enough reason for you to keep going.
Now that you've decided to return to your plan, I'm sure it's all fouled up. The plans you established at the start of the year are unlikely to function now. It's time to go back to the drawing board and come up with new strategies to attain the same outcome.
You have identified your strengths and shortcomings, and you can use this information to re-plan your strategy. Even if you do not attain all of your objectives, you will have met a portion of them. There's also the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing one's objectives.
Doing something is better than doing nothing.
It is not the time to weep over spilled milk when you realize you have failed. It is time to start thinking about your next strategy, your next steps. So get planning. I'm looking forward to meeting you at the finish line.
PS You are free to restart as many times as you need.
